Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, September 26th. Kristi and Quinn completed their first 5K.

Feds send $10 million auto worker relief to West Michigan: Employees laid off from Gentex, JCI to get $5k career training

West Michigan — A safety belt in the form of $38 million in assistance will help secure displaced automotive industry workers in lower Michigan, with almost a third of it headed to West Michigan. […] Michigan Works will distribute up to $5,000 a year for two years to displaced workers. They must use it to take classes through institutions such as Grand Valley State University and Grand Rapids Community College. (More)
GRCC will hold an online public sale on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 7 AM to 7 PM that will consist primarily of desktop computers and miscellaneous computer hardware items. Please go to www.grcc.edu/onlinestore for a list of items to be sold, as well as a link to the online store. Please note that the store is closed until the day of the sale.
Items sold on Thursday will be available for pick up beginning Friday, October 9, 2009 from 9AM to 4 PM at GRCC, 133 Winchester Place NE, Grand Rapids, MI. After Friday 10/9, pick up is by appointment only.
Primarily desktop computers and miscellaneous computer hardware items will be “For Sale”. VERY LIMITED, if any laptop computers. Grand Rapids Community College cannot guarantee complete sets. All items will be sold as is. Purchased items must be removed from the college campus within two weeks from date of the sale as indicated above (by appt). Purchased items not picked up will be returned to stock.
