Retrained Grand Rapids mother thanks Govenor Granholm for Michigan’s No Worker Left Behind program

Ender Twin Bowl Highlights

For those who couldn’t make it out last Saturday to the Ender Twin Bowl, or anyone interested in a preview of this week’s football game as the Raiders coincidentally play the Hawks again in the regional playoffs – the Media Technologies Department has compiled some of the highlights:

The Grand Rapids Community College Raider Football team took on the Harper College Hawks on October 24, 2009 in the first ever Ender Twin Bowl. This event wrapped up Investiture week for GRCC President Dr. Steven Ender, who competed with his twin brother Dr. Kenneth Ender, new President of Harper Community College.

October 29-31 at 8p.m. with a special benefit performance on  Wed, October 28 at 8 p.m. (all proceeds on this evening benefit GRCC’s Irish Studies Program.   Admission is $3 for GRCC Students/Staff and $8 for everyone else.   Call (616) 234-3946 to purchase tickets.

National Mental Health Awareness (10/28/09)

National Mental Health Awareness

Counseling, Advising and Retention Services is sponsoring a mental health awareness event in recognition of National Mental Health Awareness. This is a great opportunity to take a free confidential mental health screening, pick up informational brochures and talk with a counselor to learn about common mental health issues. In addition to showcasing the on campus services that are available, area agencies will be on hand to provide information on depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, and more.
