Grand Rapids Community College quarterback Casey Therriault has thrown for 1,801 yards and rushed for 620 this season, ranking 10th nationally in total offense.SANDY, Utah — Not a day has passed since the night of Jan. 10, 2008, without Casey Therriault thinking about the circumstances that changed his life forever. The Grand Rapids Community College sophomore quarterback thinks about his involvement, along with four others, in the beating death of Jonathan “Jono” Krystiniak outside a downtown Grand Rapids bar. But when their paths crossed outside a downtown Grand Rapids bar Jan. 10, 2008, one life ended and another was seemingly destroyed. Jon “Jono” Krystiniak was beaten to death outside the Margarita Grill, 25 Ottawa Ave. SW, and one of the men involved, Casey Therriault, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and served six months in jail.
