GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) – A group of students from Grand Rapids Community College have proven frugal can be fashionable.  Thursday night, fashion students from GRCC showed shoppers some of the trendy outfits available at Salvation Army thrift stores during a runway show at the outlet on South Division Avenue.   (More)

Grand Rapids Schools considers selling old City High building to UPrep group

GRAND RAPIDS — Grand Rapids Public Schools is considering selling the “City Building” on the Central High School campus to the nonprofit group that runs University Prep Academy, paving the way for $8 million in private donations to renovate and expand the school. […] Facilities director Ken Klomparens said the district intends to stagger start times of the three schools on campus and begin regulating a district-owned parking lot on Lyon Street, which is routinely used by Grand Rapids Community College students.  (More)
