The GRCC Upward Bound Program took 32 students to Detroit on Friday, March 12 for a Piston’s game. The activity came as a reward to students who achieved Honor Roll status by maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher for their second trimester of the 2009-2010 school year. Overall, Upward Bound had 48 students on the Honor Roll, which is 62% of their entire program participants! Also, 71% of those students were on the Honor Roll for BOTH the first and second trimester! At the game, students enjoyed a meal of their choice, visited the souvenir shop, jammed with the Detroit Pistons Drumline and cheered the Pistons on to victory.
