Deb Nordman, and Amanda Brand hosted the Radiologic Technology Program pinning ceremony on April,28 2010. This was the first class to be awarded an I.V. start curriculum certification, as well as an Academic Service Learning Certificate. The ceremony began with a warm welcome from President Ender, and featured guest speakers Sylvia Huitsing (Metro Health), and the Honorable George Heartwell Mayor of the city of Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids Community College President, Dr. Steven Ender, and key members of his staff met with community leaders in Cedar Springs at an informal breakfast meeting on April 23. Enders said, “This is the 8th or 9th meeting we have held since I became president. We are meeting with local school districts, business and community leaders to find out what their questions and concerns are about GRCC so we can learn how to best support them with our programs.” It will take two years to do the 20 districts in the county. The GRCC employee recognition reception is today. A light lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Atrium area of the ATC. The program beings at 12:15 p.m. in the ATC Banquet Rooms.
