Fieldhouse/Pool Delay on 5/7/10 for Maintenance
The Ford Fieldhouse and Natatorium facilities will be on a two hour opening delay on Friday, May 7, 2010 as maintenance work needs to be done that will involve a complete power shut down. The facility will not open until 7:00 a.m. on this day. Those who make use of the fitness center during the early morning hours will need to make alternative arrangements on this day. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Raider Golf Team Wins State Championship, Coach Vanden Beldt Named Coach of the Year
The GRCC Golf Team won the MCCAA State Championship for the second year in a row. The team shot a 54 hole total of 876 to win by sixteen strokes. The Raiders shot a final round 279, nine under par as a team, thought to be a State and School record. Bruce Vanden Beldt was named State Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.

Cinco de Mayo parties in Grand Rapids

Thanks to Corona and other beer companies, Cinco de Mayo in the United States means party, party and party. […] El Sombrero Restaurant, 527 Bridge St. NW: The Committee to Honor Cesar E. Chavez and El Sombrero Restaurant will host its annual party in the parking lot of El Som from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday. It’s a great community event with live music, dancers and great food. The suggested donation is $10. All proceeds will support student scholarships at [Grand Rapids Community College] GRCC. (More)
