GRCC to provide Haworth, JCI employees with training

Holland, MI — Haworth and Johnson Controls Inc. are the latest companies to sign up for state-paid training through Grand Rapids Community College and the Michigan New Jobs program. Haworth will pay $2.1 million, and Johnson Controls Inc. will pay $2 million to GRCC to provide the training. The companies will be repaid over several years, as the state diverts the income tax of the new employees back to GRCC, who will use it to reimburse the companies. (More)

MUSKEGON — As more money and effort gets funneled into green energy and sustainable technology, Muskegon Community College sees an opportunity to provide a valuable service to the local workforce.
