GRCC Artprize Events and Volunteers Reminder

This is just a quick reminder to add any GRCC ArtPrize events you may be holding to both the ArtPrize and GRCC Event Promotion online calendars.

You can enter events on GRCC’s Event Calendar here: www.grcc.edu/events.  

You can submitt events to the ArtPrize Calendar here www.artprize.org/event-info/submit-event

The Grand Rapids Press is planning to publish a schedule of events as ArtPrize gets closer, but in order to be included, events must be in by this Friday.

Also consider ArtPrize volunteer opportunities.  If you are interested please contact volunteer coordinator Amelea Pegman at amelea@artprize.org for more information.

Opening Day All Employee Meeting 8/26/10

Opening Day kicks off in a big way on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in our newly renovated field house.  The schedule includes:

7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. Continental Breakfast

8:15 a.m. Dr. Ender’s Welcome/ Presentation

9:15 a.m. Assemble on Bostwick Commons for GRCC Annual Photo

10:00 a.m. School Meetings Begin

It  will be great to see everyone again!

Student Employee Paycheck Pickup

Student Employees Paychecks will no longer be picked up in Student Life. Effective with the 08/20/10 check date student paychecks will be available for pick up in the Student Employment Services (SES) Office located in 103 Main from 8:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. on payday.

Paychecks not picked up in SES by 3:45 p.m. will be available in the Payroll Office from 4:00 -5:00 p.m. on payday and between 8:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m. Mon. – Fri. after that.  The payroll office is now located on the 2nd floor of the Administration Building on the Fulton Street Campus (formerly  Davenport University) on the corner of Prospect and E. Fulton.

Student employees MUST bring a picture ID which includes both their first and last names with them to pick up their paychecks. If you have any questions, please contact Luanne Wedge at 234-4174 or  Janice Holton at 234- 4018.
