Update to Bostwick Closing 9/9/10-9/13/10

Turner Construction plans to close Bostwick avenue, between Michigan and Crescent, as follows:
  • Thursday, Sept 9, between 11pm and 5am Friday – close road
  • Friday, Sept. 10 – adjust all manhole castings to height, prep. for paving
  • Satuday, Sept. 11 – paving
  • Sunday, Sept. 12 – Striping
  • Monday, Sept. 13 – open road by 7am.
Note the closure will begin later than originally planned to allow GRCC (and others) to finish R night classes and vacate area.

GRCC composite class seeking workers

HOLLAND – If you’re looking for a job in a fast-growing industry with good pay and benefits, Grand Rapids Community College may have a place for you.  The college is looking for 40 students to fill a four-week composites manufacturing training program that begins on Sept. 13. Graduates from the program are eligible for jobs in the rapidly-expanding composite materials industry at companies such as Energetx in Holland.  (More)
