Join the Diversity Learning Center Monday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. or Tuesday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m. for the video viewing of Bordertown (run time 114 minutes). A powerful story of life on the border between the United States and Mexico. Bordertown is based on the tragic account of hundreds of women working in American-owned factories who have been brutally raped and murdered in Juarez, Mexico and was the inspiration for Barbara Martinez Jitner’s research of the Mexican town of Juarez.
Barbara Martinez Jitner will lecture, “On the Border of A New America: Wall of Shadows”, Wednesday, October 20, 7:00 p.m. at Fountain Street Church as part of the 16th annual Diversity Lecture Series.
