Our names are Chuck Wieten and Rose Zainea-Wieten. Being lifelong residents of Grand Rapids, we were thrilled to participate in Restaurant Week 2010 as guest writers for The Grand Rapids Press. Grand Rapids Community College plans renewable-energy certificate

Grand Rapids Community College continues to build on its sustainability efforts with new programs that may eventually lead to a renewable energy certificate and degree. Earlier this year, the school launched two new programs — one in wind energy and one in green building — and it plans to add more this winter. GRCC eventually hopes to create a renewable energy certificate and associate degree program.  (More)

Glen Oaks Board greets new trustee

CENTREVILLE – The Glen Oaks Community College Board of Trustees greeted Three Rivers businesswoman Diana DeGraaf on Wednesday (November 10th) as the newest member of the organization. […] Greeted Jennifer Buikema as the new Director of Student Support Services, a TriO grant program at Glen Oaks Community College.
