Cooking programs common at community colleges: KVCC officials see demand for downtown culinary school

KALAMAZOO — If Kalamazoo Valley Community College develops a downtown culinary school, it will join 11 other Michigan community colleges that offer some form of cooking or hospitality program.  Among the best known are the culinary schools at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, which enrolls 96 students each fall, and the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College, with its current enrollment of 715 students.  (More)

GRCC Looking for Student Models

As GRCC continues to build its library of students on campus to be used in promotional materials (like catalogs, brochures, billboards and posters), the Graphic Services department is building a list of students willing to be photographed.  Students of all ages and nationalities are needed, and the college is looking for students who represent the broad geographic region that that we serve.  Interested students can email Graphic Services with a photo of themselves and some basic information (where they’re from) at grccdesign@me.com

Employee Holiday Breakfast (12/17/10)

The WE Team and Dr. Ender are holding the annual Employee Holiday Breakfast on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. in the Fieldhouse. Tickets go on sale Monday, November 29. You have until Friday, December 10 to purchase tickets — Sorry, no tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $3.  You can purchase tickets from the following Elves:
