Montague quarterback Cody Kater to play next fall at Grand Rapids Community College

Montague’s Cody Kater wants to get back to playing football and get back to the Division I level. With those two goals in mind, the star quarterback who led Montague to back-to-back state championships in 2008 and 2009 will play next fall at Grand Rapids Community College, one of the top junior college football programs in the country.  (More)

Rosa Parks Circle becomes giant ice chess set Tuesday

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Rosa Parks Circle will turn into an icy battleground Tuesday. The Grand Rapids Art Museum and the Downtown Alliance are sponsoring the creation of a giant ice chess set. The creators are Randy Finch and Derek Maxfield who have competed in ArtPrize during the past two years. They will spend the day putting the set together and then at noon they will play a game of chess on the ice.  (More)
