The clash between Grand Rapids Community College and Muskegon Community College on Friday night at Ford Fieldhouse featured head coaches and players on both sides who know each other quite well, prompting an intense finish in an overtime thriller in which MCC prevailed, 83-76. GRAND RAPIDS – Grand Rapids Community College leaders say they’re proud of their veteran faculty, but that experience comes at a high price – according to a disputed report. About half of the community college’s faculty are at the top level of their contact’s pay grade, and professors can earn extra money for additional years of service, advanced degrees and teaching extra courses, based on information the college released Friday.
