Want to be able to help your family, friends or colleagues in an emergency? Employee Professional Development & Enrichment is offering employees the opportunity to do just that. Learn how to control bleeding, identify the signs of various soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries, sudden illness, stroke, diabetic emergency, poisoning, allergic reactions, heat and cold emergencies and suspected head, neck and back injuries and how to care for them. This class is designed to teach lay responders the knowledge and skills necessary to give care in an emergency and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until medical help arrives.
This two part course will be held:
- Part 1: Friday, February 25, 2011 3:30-5:30 p.m.
- Part 2: Friday, March 18, 2011 3:30-5:30 p.m.
