Adjunct Faculty Learning Day: Blackboard Day Camp Saturday, January 22

The Center for Teaching Excellence is offering adjunct Faculty Learning Day: Blackboard Day Camp, Saturday, January 22 in 122-124 Applied Technology Center (ATC), Downtown Campus.

  • 8:15-8:45 a.m. -Continental Breakfast and Welcome from Dr. Laurie Chesley, Dean, School of Arts and Sciences
  • 9:00 a.m. – Noon – Sessions

Beginning Blackboard for Adjunct Faculty Plus
This hands-on session will help you begin to use Blackboard 9 to manage course information and communicate with students. Topics will include posting announcements, documents, and external links; communicating using the Discussion forum and other tools: and setting up your Gradebook.
Prerequisite: must have obtained Novell login and successfully logged into the GRCC network

OR

Intermediate Blackboard for Adjunct Faculty
This hands-on session will help you further develop your skills in Blackboard. Topics will include the Blackboard Content system, Camtasia Relay, and advanced communication tools. You’ll also become familiar with new tools available with our Bb 9 upgrade.
Prerequisite: Must have attended a Blackboard Basics session and/or currently be using Blackboard for at least one class.

Parking is available beneath the ATC or across Ransom in the Bostwick ramp. Validation will be provided.
