The Water Department will be repairing water service at 1035 Godfrey tomorrow from 9 a.m. – 4. p.m. As a result Godfrey will be closed from Martha to Curve. The detour is Hall to Grandville to Wealthy to Godfrey.

GRCC Ready to Start Solar Installer Training

Grand Rapids Community College starts up its training for Solar Panel Installers next week. GRCC says there are several West Michigan companies whose workers need an entry-level introduction to Solar Photo Voltaics (PV). GRCC quotes statistics showing Michigan is ranked 4th in the number of solar-related jobs in America with an estimated 6,300 people employed by the solar industry. (More)

Toner Scam Alert
Someone is calling departments and telling them they want to send them an order for toner for their Canon and also where the billing should go to. The college’s process on toner order has not changed. Departments are to get their toner cartridges from Print Solutions.
Night at the YMCA – 1/29/11
Bring your friends and family to Night at the YMCA (David D. Hunting YMCA- Downtown Grand Rapids). It is free for all faculty, staff and students, as well as their guests (must present a valid RaiderCard upon entering). Swimming, basketball, volleyball, racquetball, climbing wall, games, snacks and more will be available for all! The YMCA will be open for this event from 9:00pm-1:00am.
Notice From Payroll/Benefits About W-2 Forms
Beginning Thursday, January 27th, you may pick up your 2010 W-2 form in the Payroll/Benefits Office located on the 2nd floor of the Cook administration building, DeVos Campus. W-2’s will be available for pick-up until 5:00 PM Friday, January 28th.
- W-2’s not picked up by the 5:00 PM deadline will be mailed on Monday, January 31, 2011 to the address we have on file.
- You may be asked to show a valid picture ID which indicates your first and last name. Please plan to bring your ID.
- W-2’s will only be released to the employee. You will not be able to pick up W-2’s for friends, spouses, etc.
- Lost, misplaced, destroyed, or W-2’s mailed to an incorrect address will not be replaced until after March 1, 2011.
- There is a $10.00 service charge for any W-2 replacement copy requested.
