Our civilization is always just one generation away from extinction.  Whether our civilization thrives or degenerates depends on how we educate the next generation.  On May 3 you will have the opportunity to vote for members of your local public K-12 school board.  If you live within the Kent Intermediate School District (basically all the school districts based in Kent County plus Thornapple-Kellogg School District in Barry County), you will also have the opportunity to help elect two new members for the Board of Trustees of Grand Rapids Community College.  (More)
