“Captain Boom”, aka Andy Webb, is a GRJC alum from the early 1990s who makes his living putting on fireworks shows. He was recently featured in the Grand Rapids Press: “‘Captain Boom’ ready to add fireballs to Grand Rapids Lip Dub Video”
According to GRCC Mathematics Professor John Dersch: “He was a good math and physics student while he was here, then moved on and got a degree in physics. Helpful if you’re going to put on fireworks displays!”
