AWS President on campus tomorrow

John Mendoza, President of the American Welding Society is making Grand Rapids Community College a stop on his tour of welding programs throughout Michigan. His mission is to share with students the possibilities for careers in the welding field.

Mendoza will speak at 10:15 AM Wednesday at GRCC’s Leslie E. Tassell M-TEC followed by lunch.

The presentation focuses on AWS Certification and  highlights the global impact that AWS certification programs have had on industry during the last 35 years and the positive effects that an AWS certification can have on student career choices.

Raider Salute to GRCC Campus Police

I was so impressed with the GRCC police officers who quietly removed a person from the Library one night last week.  They handled the event so quietly that few persons knew it was happening. So as not to disturb student studiers, they worked unobtrusively while treating that person respectfully.

Please join the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Distance Learning and Instructional Technologies Department in congratulating our faculty members who have just completed GRCC’s Online/Hybrid Certification Course. Completion of this intense five-week course enables each of these faculty members to join 275 of their colleagues now certified to deliver courses via distance learning, providing our students with more options than ever to achieve their educational goals.
