DLIT Thanks Faculty Participants of Online Teaching Conference

The department of Distance Learning and Instructional Technologies would like to thank all of the GRCC faculty who participated last week in Davenport University’s 2011 Online Teaching Conference. The webinars proved to be very informative and beneficial. Sessions included topics like: Audio Feedback on Assignments, Teaching Mathematics Online: Is it Even Possible?, Utilizing Wimba Tools in Distance Education, and Engagement Made Easy. Keynote sessions were delivered by Barry Dahl who talked about engaging online learnings and also Rena Palloff and Keith Pratt who discussed techniques on how to build virtual learning communities.

The theme was One size does not fit all: Adaptable teaching methods for a variety of online learners and instructors.
