Grand Rapids Huntington Bank robbed – Suspect fled Wealthy and Fuller scene on foot

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The Huntington Bank at Wealthy and Fuller streets in Grand Rapids was robbed on Tuesday at about 5 p.m. The suspect fled the scene on foot. Police were on the scene for a time on Tuesday evening, investigating. At one point, they dusted for fingerprints.  (More)

COD athletic director expects discussion on future of Chaparrals

College of DuPage athletic officials are still planning a fall season lineup for its football team, but discussions could be coming on the team’s future after the recent decision of two nearby community colleges to scrap their football programs. […] On Monday, Harper College in Palatine announced it would drop its football program, following the recent elimination of Midwest Football Conference teams at Joliet Junior College in Joliet and Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, Mich. Also, in January 2010, Rock Valley College in Rockford pulled the plug on its football program.  (More)
