Art and Bevs Wedding Favor Tasting Event 3/22/12

GRCC’s Secchia Institute for Culinary Education invites you to a Wedding Favor Tasting, another bakery tasting sponsored by our Retail Bakery Class. Come enjoy a sample of delicious, hand-crafted candies, truffles, cake pops and hand decorated cookies made by retail baking class students.  Coffee and tea will be provided.

The tasting will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Art and Bev’s Bistro.  The cost is only $2.50 per person – a limited number of tickets are available.

Mayor, manufacturer rally business community to support pre-college program for high schoolers

GRAND RAPIDS – Efforts are underway to rally the business community around boosting enrollment in Upward Bound, a pre-college program for low-income and potential first-generation college students, serving Central, Creston, Union and Ottawa Hills high school students. How GRCC basketball coach assembled national tournament team after season started

The Raiders, who qualified for the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Tournament in Danville, Ill., this week, enter the national tournament having won nine of their previous 11 games. Career fair opens this week, in person and online

Holland — The Holland Sentinel will host a Career Fair from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Holland Fish & Game Club, 10840 Chicago Drive. At least 18 local employers, colleges and agencies will be in attendance at the fair. Organizers expect more than 500 visitors.
