Wellness Department plans body fat testing clinic

The Wellness Department is hosting a Free Body Fat Testing Clinic at the Ford Fieldhouse. Come test or re-test your body fat percentage to keep you on track with your goals!

The clinic will be held 2-5:30 p.m. February 4, 2013, in the Ford Fieldhouse cage.

Why get tested?

• Measures where you currently are to set goals for your future!
• Spring break is only weeks away! Come get your body fat tested to be ready to reach your goals!

What do I do?

• Simply show up with your staff or student ID.
• Stand on a machine and leave knowing your body fat percent!
• It’s quick, easy and free!

Results are only seen by you and the administrator!

Funeral scheduled for son of Laura DeVries

A funeral is scheduled for January 16, 2013, for Christopher Anthony, son of Laura DeVries, from GRCCePRINT.

From the obituary: Our precious son, Christopher Douglas Anthony, aged 30,passed away very unexpectedly on Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Douglas R. Anthony and Laura M. Devries. Chris brought so much joy and happiness to those whose lives he touched. He was very proud of making the president’s list or dean’s list at the community college in his pursuit to become a pharmacist.  Chris had a love for cars and soccer but his true passion was fishing and his spare time was spent on the Coldwater River or on his boat in Lake Michigan. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Douglas and Laura; his sister, Tara (Jason); his niece and nephew, Isabella and Alex; grandparents, Daniel and Laura Breuker, Walter and Elsie Anthony, William Dias; several aunts, uncles, cousins and amazing friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John P. Devries and grandmother, Phyllis F. Dias.  Funeral services for Christopher will be held Wednesday at 3:00 pm at Kentwood Community Church, 1200 – 60^th St. SE with Fr. Patrick Grile officiating.  Interment in Blain Cemetery. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Wednesday from 2-3 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the family to offset funeral expenses.
