Drupal Basics Refresher

In this refresher course, participants will review to navigation in the Drupal system, understand and use content types, and edit existing content. A new feature – creating tables – will be introduced. Instruction on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act will also be covered.

Nonverbal Communication

This documentary is intended for the children and caregivers of aging parents and family members. The documentary was made in 2007 by dedicated hospice volunteers who wanted a better way to discuss end-of-life care.

ducational Movie – Forks Over Knives. Learning Objectives: Participants will learn about eating a plant strong diet rich in healthy fruits, vegetables and beans. This movie examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods. The major storyline in the film traces the personal journeys of a pair of pioneering yet under-appreciated researchers, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn.

Being a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or someone who is unable to live independently, places a great burden on the caregiver. The pressures can be wide-ranging, and touch the social, psychological, physical and economic facets of the caregiver’s life. Excel – Functions & Formulas

Participants will use Excel to streamline and enhance spreadsheets with templates, charts, graphics and formulas. Bias Incident Protocol Training

What is a biased incident? Do they happen at GRCC or GVSU? What do I do if I experience or witness one? The Team Against Bias (TAB) is a diverse group of faculty, staff and students at GVSU. The group was created to review information regarding bias incidents and implement strategies to educate and engage the campus community. TAB is committed to making certain that all faculty, staff and students know what a bias incident is and how to use their protocol for reporting such incidents. This training is both interactive and practical. This workshop presented by Members of the GVSU Team Against Bias (TAB).
