2nd annual 5k run, walk honoring Eric Zapata set for April 20 at KVCC

KALAMAZOO, MI — A 5K run/walk to honor slain Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer Eric Zapata will be held April 20 at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.

… The run, established by the EZ Memorial Foundation, honors Zapata’s legacy and benefits a scholarship fund for students enrolling in law enforcement programs at KVCC and Grand Rapids Community College.

SAU Tennis suffer loss to Grand Valley, defeat GRCC in Round Robin format

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — The men’s tennis team played a round robin style tournament with Grand Valley State University and Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday and lost to GVSU 8-1 and defeated GRCC 8-1.

Lourdes Finishes Seventh at Siena Heights Invitational

Lourdes University’s men’s golf team opened the 2013 season on a cold afternoon at the Siena Heights Spring Invitational on Friday, finishing in seventh place in the event that took place at Hantz Golf Club in Tecumseh, Mich.

… Korey Roberts of Grand Rapids Community College was the individual medalist, shooting a two-over par round of 74, three strokes ahead of Northwestern Ohio’s Keith Long.
