Bengal remain atop polls heading into series

The LSU Eunice baseball team remained atop the country as the top team in the national polls released by the NJCAA today.

… Grand Rapids Community College made the biggest jump of the 10 World Series teams, moving up nine spots to No. 11, while Brunswick Community College dropped three spots to No. 13 and North Iowa Area Community College entered the poll this week at No. 19.

Lackawanna eliminated from NJCAA Division II World Series

Too many mistakes by the Lackawanna College baseball team led to a quick exit from the NJCAA Division II World Series.

Four errors and two runners cut down on the base paths contributed to the Falcons’ 6-2 loss to Grand Rapids, Mich., Community College on Sunday at David Allen Memorial Park in Enid, Okla.

Dan Schmidt provided the exclamation point for an offensive onslaught on Monday afternoon, blasting a three-run home run in his team’s final at-bat as Madison Area Technical College thumped Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College 9-1 in seven innings at the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Okla.

ISO courses scheduled for June 2013

In the ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor Training course, you’ll learn how to conduct effective and efficient internal audits. Focus will be given to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard and how to audit to ensure compliance in your organization. This class is a mixture of teaching the requirements within the standard and a practical exercise that will give actual auditing experience.

You will learn:

  • definition of a process.
  • to identify the processes of your organization.
  • to perform a “Process” audit.
  • to ensure you perform process audits and still cover each requirement of ISO 9001:2008.
  • the components of a valid audit deficiency.
  • to ensure effective corrective action results from internal audits.
  • to ensure your company is prepared for third-party audits.

The ISO 14001 Overview course provides a basic understanding of the ISO 14001 Standard. It includes the concept, development, publication, and evolution of the standard. You will be introduced to each of the ISO 14001 requirements and what is involved in the development of a business system that meets the requirements. You will also learn what to expect during the development and implementation process.
