Bostwick Parking Ramp update

The 6th Floor (Roof level) entrance and exit on the Bostwick Ramp will be completely closed each night at 6pm until the completion of the automation project, projected to be Friday, June 21st. All levels of the ramp are open for parking, students and visitors will need to enter from the Bostwick and Fountain entrance on level one. Exit is possible of the first and fifth floor at all times. The roof level is open for entrance only during the day from approximately 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Summer woodworking camp offered to sixth- through eighth-graders

GRCC is offering sixth- through eighth-graders a unique summer camp.

GRCC’s Woodworking Camp has two sessions:

  • 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8 through 11.
  • 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 15 through 18.

The cost is $50, and lunch is provided.

Campers will get to use power tools in GRCC’s state-of-the-art woodworking lab at its Tassell M-TEC facility, 622 Godfrey Ave. SW. They’ll explore the world of woodworking and carpentry — and learn some math and science along the way.

As associate dean of operations at Grand Rapids Community College’s school of workforce development, she often hears from employers such as advanced manufacturers who can’t find applicants with enough STEM skills to fill vacant jobs.

GRCC hosts free employment training for high school grads

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) – Teenagers and young adults in Kent County are participating in a free event to help them land jobs and internships.

The “Ready Now!” program, hosted by Grand Rapids Community College, runs through Thursday.  More than 100 people are expected to attend.

GRCCePrint considering new hours

GRCCePRINT is considering an hour change for the remainder of the summer. The new hours would be 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday until August. With doing so, we want to make sure we are still accommodating all faculty and staff printing needs.
