Havana Night helps kids in Cuba

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Havana Night auction and fundraiser is being hosted in Grand Rapids by First-Hand Aid. It will be a night full of Cuban food, dancing, and all proceeds go to relieving the extreme need for medical supplies for hospitalized children and food programs to sustain the elderly in Cuba.

Three young theatrical artists in Grand Rapids awarded $6,000 in Combined Theatre Scholarships

GRAND RAPIDS, MI Three scholarships worth $6,000 were presented to area theater students last week during Festival of Arts.
…But the student at Aquinas College has starred as Agnes in Heritage Theatres production of School for Wives and as Karen in Grand Rapids Community Colleges production of For Better as well as in ensemble casts for Civic Theatres production of James and the Giant Peach and in Aquinas College productions of Chicago: The Musical and Amadeus.

EAST LANSING, MI It has been seven years since the North Muskegons boys golf team have competed in a state final championship. But after working hard those seven years, they have returned to place eighth in the 2013 Division 4 state finals on Saturday held at the Forest Akers East golf course at Michigan State University.
