Event helps students complete application process

The Admissions & Enrollment Center hosted an event last night to help students complete their admission to GRCC for the fall semester. Along with staff from Counseling, College Success and Financial Aid, we saw 117 students along with their parents, spouses, siblings, etc. Of those students, 60 took the Accuplacer test, 76 met with a counselor and/or college success coach and 45 met with a financial aid representative. Many did all three! They were also able to turn in transcripts or test scores, set up their technology accounts, sign up for New Student Orientation and have many of their questions answered. Thanks to advance communications with these students, the Enrollment Center also saw an increase in the number of students who came in this week to take the Accuplacer prior to the event.

Special thanks go out to the Enrollment Center and Admissions student employees and the Orientation Ambassadors who helped direct students and answer questions. Also a big thank you to Dean Tina Hoxie who helped us with crowd control.
