The Heritage Theatre Group to present “American Buffalo” by David Mamet
July 31, 2013; therapidian.org
Tomorrow August 1, The Heritage Theatre Group will light up the stage with practical lighting fixtures for “American Buffalo.” Come sit in the junk shop with Don, Teach, and Bobby as they plan a heist to steal a customer’s valuable coin collection.
… This premiere at GRCC’s Spectrum Theater (160 Fountain St. NE) of Mamet’s play is not your typical black box production. The audience is encouraged to sit in and around the junk shop with the characters, creating a theatre in the round feel.
Sara Dorer won honorable mention for the 2013 Van & Marinus Swets Travel Award. Sara surprised her girls one morning, saying they would “skip school/work all day and just play, play, play.” The girls were beyond excited about the fun-filled day Sara had planned for them. Sara stated that she “spent the entire day 100 percent focused on them and it was wonderful for all three of us.” The girls asked if they could do it again some day.
Sara extends her many thanks for the Foundation for making this inspired play date a reality.
Starting Monday, August 5th, the alley behind the Main building will be closed to through-traffic for up to four weeks for excavation and construction work. The alley will open prior to the start of school.
Our lean champion certification program helps you identify and eliminate waste.
Even if costs remain constant, elimination and reduction of waste may:
- increase an organization’s ability to produce more products or services with the same resources.
- increase an organization’s ability to serve more customers.
- reduce total lead time.
And all that results in increased profits!
In GRCC’s program, you will learn to develop and use your organization’s value stream map to identify and drive your improvements. Critical to learning the principles and various tools is applying them to your current work. By successfully completing a lean implementation (or value stream) project of your choice from your company, you will yield results from this program immediately.
The program starts September 30, 2013. To register, click here.
