GRCC’s Healthcare Provider CPR course uses both the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider curriculum and the Heartsaver First Aid curriculum.
The BLS course is designed to teach health-care professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
The Heartsaver First Aid course is designed to meet OSHA regulations and teach basic first aid skills, such as stopping bleeding and helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain.
Nurses and dental professionals are able to earn up to six continuing education units for the course.
The class is scheduled for 3-9 p.m. September 16 in the Lakeshore campus’s Midtown Center. To register, click here.
