Grand Rapids — Grand Rapids Community College became the first training provider in the United States to be awarded the Global Wind Organization accreditation to deliver basic safety training to wind farm workers.

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) has come under scrutiny this past week from residents and trustees for financially supporting a play about the lives of gay men featuring a nude actor.

Justin Laux has joined the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy.

… He holds an associate degree in criminal justice from Grand Rapids Community College, and graduated from the GRCC Police Academy in November 2012.
