‘J:’ drives to get upgrade

Attention All:

As part of the IT department’s continual improvement process, we will be upgrading storage for all “J:” drives.  The migration to the new “J:” drives will begin on November 6th and will take several days to complete.  All moves will run after business hours from 10:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m.

Files will be copied from the old “J:” drive location to the new location, and you should not see any change in access.  However, if you have links to your current “J:” drive they may be broken, and you may have to recreate those links.

During this process, it is important to make sure you are logged off your computer every night in order to make sure your data is copied over.  This will also facilitate accessing your new drive location when you login the next day.

If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to contact IT Customer Support @ 234-HELP(4357).

Oct. 31, 2013 Christian Post

Radiology students teach preschoolers about bones

The Radiologic Technology Program hosted a “Toy Clinic” with the Preschool Program on October 31 in Julie Lackscheide’s Radiographic Positioning Class. The second year Rad Tech students and their “bone buddy” preschooler toured the lab while learning about the equipment, played Halloween games, matched up bones with their own body outlines, and decorated skeletons. The Rad Tech students gained additional knowledge with the pediatric population, while being able to introduce the preschoolers to the health care setting and learn about bones. At the end of the clinic, each “bone buddy” took home a radiograph of their toy that they brought with them to be seen at the clinic.
