Catalina Ormsby, MPA – Associate Director, UROP (Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program) at the University of Michigan will be visiting GRCC on Wednesday, January 29, 2014.
Catalina will have an open meeting for students to discuss the Community College Summer Fellowship Program (CCSFP) and the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). The open meeting will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Room 350 Student Center. We encourage you to share this information to students – invite them to attend the meeting.
Students will also have a chance to meet a current Peer Advisor and UROP Academic Year participant.

Community College Summer Fellowship Program (CCSFP) 2014 General Information:
UM’s Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) offers a 10-week Summer Research Fellowship for community college students interested in transferring to the University of Michigan. Michigan’s Community College Summer Fellowship Program (CCSFP) seeks to attract a diverse student population, including women, historically underrepresented and first generation college students, veterans and students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program offers research opportunities at the UM campus in a wide range of fields such as biomedical sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, or natural and environmental sciences.
