GRCC partners with other community colleges on transfer agreement for automotive technology programs

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Community College has joined four other state community colleges to offer transfer opportunities to students in automotive technology programs.

LANSING, Michigan — Five Michigan community colleges are partnering on a pilot program to let students in automotive technology programs transfer among the schools without losing credits or having to repeat course work.

Delta College, Grand Rapids Community College, Lansing Community College, Montcalm Community and Mott Community Colleges have signed the agreement. It was announced Friday by Nigel Francis, the state’s senior automotive adviser.

Executive chef to take over ownership of Campus Grill

Starting in June, Campus Grill will have a new owner as Frank Butcher officially takes over the business from his good friend and mentor, Nick Patouhas.

… “I knew that’s what I wanted to do, and at 15 I started as a line cook on third shift Friday and Saturday nights. After high school I went to college to major in culinary arts at Grand Rapids Community College in Michigan. I never did anything else.”
