LaughFest 2014: Jim Gaffigan is ‘Obsessed’ and ready to entertain Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A few things have changed in comedian Jim Gaffigan’s life since he last appeared in Grand Rapids for LaughFest 2012. He has another child (this makes five), he published his first book, he wrote all new material for his special, “Obsessed,” and he shot a pilot for CBS.
… Like his previous appearance two years ago, Gaffigan’s show on Friday, March 7, at GRCC Ford Fieldhouse was one of the first to sell out.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Grand Rapids is about to get a whole lot funnier with the arrival of top tier comedic talent from around the nation during LaughFest for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. But grabbing some friends and heading out to see Jim Gaffigan, Mike Birbiglia, Maria Bamford or Judah Friedlander over the next few days isn’t the only way to have some fun. Check out these five upcoming LaughFest events.
… Participants in the untimed 5K run or walk are encouraged to wear their finest or funniest underwear over their running clothes in support of Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. The race starts at 10 a.m. at GRCC Ford Fieldhouse, 111 Lyon St. NE; on-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Runners can also pre-register for $30 online at laughfestgr.org. Registration includes an official T-shirt while supplies last.
… LaughFest has many family friendly options that can keep your kids entertained as well. The GRCC Ford Fieldhouse, 111 Lyon St. NE, will host two age-specific events Saturday, March 8. A carnival for the younger kids will take place during the day and will be followed with a teen-themed party that night.
