Blind man hit by car recovering from injuries, has sympathy for driver

Osman Koroma, the 23-year-old blind man who was hit by a car, is recovering from his injuries and says he has only compassion for the driver who hit him last month.

… He looks forward to finishing the semester at Grand Rapids Community College although he needs a new laptop, because his was destroyed in the accident.

Office furniture suppliers brace for growth

The forecast for significant growth in the office furniture industry could bring some rewarding and potentially challenging times for the West Michigan base of suppliers.

“GRCC and GVSU don’t have a program for the office furniture supply chain,” (Steve) Waltman said. “I think we’ve missed an opportunity to keep our kids here.”

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Parenthood can put you in some uncomfortable predicaments. But none might be as awkward as when a seemingly safe situation has the grownups acting worse than their kids.

Such is the case in the upcoming comedy from Actors Theatre called God of Carnage, playing Thursday through Saturday nights from April 17 26 at the GRCC Spectrum Theatre, 160 Fountain St. NE.
