Blind accident victim reunites with goalball teammates: ‘Great to be back’

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Osman Koroma, the 23-year-old blind man who was hit by a car last month, is still recovering from his injuries at Mary Free Bed, but on Wednesday he returned to a familiar setting among friends.

(This article doesn’t mention it, but Mr. Koroma is a GRCC student.)

KALAMAZOO, MI — People on The Move announces the new title or working role of local people moving from one paid position to another. That includes lateral moves, promotions, new hires, or people taking on significant new work assignments.

… Alexander P. Sackett has joined Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber Inc. s Kalamazoo office as a staff geologist. Sackett, who began his higher education in the business management programs at Davenport University and Grand Rapids Community College, has a bachelor’s degree in geology from Central Michigan University. He previously worked as a steel worker field trainee for a well-known developer. FTCH is a Kalamazoo-based civil engineering, architectural/engineering, environmental, and construction services consulting firm.
