GRCC spends $55,000 on search firm to find new provost

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Grand Rapids Community College has hired AGB Search, a Washington D.C.-based consulting group, to search for the college’s new provost.

Restaurant Week GR returns with ‘Perfect Pairings’ theme and local dining deals

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Summer in West Michigan means the return of Restaurant Week Grand Rapids and the chance to sample cuisine made from fresh, local ingredients over the 12-day food festival.

… One dollar from every meal sold during the 2014 event will be donated by each of the restaurants to a student scholarship fund at the highly acclaimed Secchia Institute for Culinary Education at Grand Rapids Community College. Since 2010, Restaurant Week Grand Rapids participating restaurants have donated almost $75,000 to the fund.

Volunteers needed to staff College Channel van

This Saturday, the College Channel van will be at the Wealthy Street Bizarre Bazaar to collect GRCC stories from community members.  If you would like to volunteer any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to canvass the crowd or operate the recording equipment, please contact Klaas Kwant at kkwant@grcc.edu.
