100th Gala – Payroll Deduction Option for Employees

We hope your calendars are already marked for Tuesday, October 14th for the 100th Anniversary Gala! Starting July 1st, employees have the option to purchase their gala tickets through payroll deduction. Invites aren’t scheduled to go out until August, but we wanted to offer this option to employees first. Individual tickets for the gala are $150. The payroll deduction form includes several options of when to turn in the form and how much will be deducted from the corresponding paychecks. Pregnant woman’s dad: ‘Need to find daughter’

SARANAC, Mich. (WOOD) — Police and family members Thursday looked for an 18-year-old who was 8 months pregnant with her first child after her 25-year-old boyfriend’s body was found.

…Oppenneer was a father of two other young children and a graduate of West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids. According to his Facebook page, he went to Grand Rapids Community College and Alma College and was a sander at Grand Rapids Carvers.

Kelbie Stout crowned 2014 Ionia Free Fair Queen

Five contestants participated in the 2014 Queen’s Contest, and each showcased their love of and history with the Ionia Free Fair. After an evening of interviews, Kelbie Stout of Ionia was named the 2014 Ionia Free Fair Queen.

…Allen graduated from Ionia High School and plans to study pediatric occupational therapy at Grand Rapids Community College.

 

Full library service restored

The Library & Learning Commons reopens Monday, July 21, 2014. Classroom instructors with a scheduled information literacy session should bring classes to the room indicated in the appointment. On Thursday and Friday, July 17-18, professional assistance will continue to be available in ATC224, by phone at 234.3868, or email, library@grcc.edu.

The biggest change you will find in the LLC is that print periodicals are now self-service and incorporate additional quiet study space. Please feel free to leave a comment on our Facebook page.
