Hudsonville High School graduate Megan Stacey plans to attend GRCC’s Police Academy with a $1,000 college scholarship she received from the Law Enforcement Education Program.

“I have plans to develop my interest in the law, constitution and government through further education at college and a police academy,” she said. “I am on track to enter the Police Academy in January 2015 in order to fulfill my dream of becoming a certified  police officer. Subsequent to my graduation from the Police Academy, I expect to earn my bachelor’s degree and go on to have a long career in Criminal Justice.”

In its 10th year, the nonprofit LEEP has awarded some $123,000 in Dream scholarships to students who are interested in public service or law enforcement careers.
