The second-year Dental Hygiene students have organized a group to participate in the www.lightthenight.org walk on Saturday, September 27. The group is called Team Smiley in honor of Dr. Colette Smiley, one of our clinic dentists, who is fighting leukemia. The walk will be held from 5 to 7 pm in downtown Grand Rapids to raise money for the research of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society . The money raised will not only be for research, but for patient services and to prolong the lives of patients with leukemia, myeloma, and lymphoma.
