The deadline for the submission of grant applications for the Support Staff Professional Development (SSPD) program is 4:30 p.m., January 23, 2015. The SSPD application packet and SSPD Guidelines are available in the GRCC Internal Grants area of the Grants Office website at www.grcc.edu/grants. Please note that applications must include a Supervisor’s Approval form, a budget form and budget documentation. The Exercise Science Department is hosting a TRX Suspension Training Course March 21, 2015. Participants will “learn how to properly perform and cue foundational Suspension Training exercises as well as the benefits and target muscles of the exercises, and learn modifications and progressions to adapt the exercises to every fitness level.” Click here to register.
Many volunteers are still needed to help staff the Winter 2015 Information/Roaming Stations, from Monday, January 12, to Thursday, January 15.
You may pick up your apron and lanyard at the Information/Roaming Station, which will be an “information table” that will have materials for students to pick up such as maps, RaiderCard information, etc., as well as the binder with the class schedule for you to use as necessary.
You have the choice to stay at the information table or roam and assist students in your area, in whatever style fits for you. When your shift is done, you will meet your replacement at the information table in your area (or leave your apron there if your replacement does not show.)
