Facilitated through the Department of Experiential Learning Study Away involves an extensive faculty-led off-campus experience as part of a course. This training will inform faculty of how to create and lead a study away experience and offers an overview of the process and resources available.
Full-time faculty wishing to lead a study away experience during the 2015-2016 must submit their Study Away Proposal by April 1,2015.

After completing this training, participants will be able to: 1) explain the history of the program, 2) explain the philosophy of the program, 3) identify the roles played by faculty and administrators in the program, 4) identify the program components, 5) explain the benefits the program provides to faculty, students, and the College, 6) identify who can assist with creation of the experience, 7) explain the time line and approval process, and 8) cite examples of other Study Away experiences.
