College notes: Jenison’s Kyle Hoek big man on small campus at Kuyper College

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Kyle Hoek is the biggest guy at the area’s smallest college.

… “I went to GRCC for three years and I was in between schools,” he said. “One of my friends came out here for an open gym, so I tagged along. After the first three shots I took, the coach said he wanted to recruit me since I am big and I can shoot, too.”

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Gilda’s LaughFest has announced the return of a popular family-friendly event with the Seriously Funny Family Adventure Challenge.

Black Student Union hosts poet’s one-man play

The Black Student Union is bringing community activist and spoken word poet Muhibb Dyer to campus for his one-man show From Kings to Thugs to Presidents. Dyer worked to begin the Saving Our Sons—I Will Not Die Young campaign and mentoring program

His high-energy and thought-provoking play explores the epidemic of violence plaguing America’s inner cities, and the power we have to change our world. It runs 6-7:30 p.m. February 12 at the Spectrum Theater. Admission is free and open to the community.

A reception with light refreshments will be held from 7:30-8 p.m. in the theater lobby.

Effective February 3, 2015

  • The appeal process has been eliminated, as the Provost decision is final.
  • Changed the number of weeks to submit the original request from five to four.
  • Changed the notification of all staff to the appropriate staff.
  • Added the Lakeshore Campus to the Policy.

  • Replaced “All electronic files that contain Protected PII will reside within a GRCC information system. Do not store PII on the S: or J: network drives.” With “All electronic files that contain Protected PII will reside within a protected GRCC information system location.”
