Students from Grand Rapids Community College and surrounding area are set to use their modeling skills to rip the runway at the MeVo Fashion Show this week.
The fashion show will feature works from Ricki Brazil, KSwim by Krista Renee and pieces from a local boutique Shop Studio Thrift. It will also be an opportunity for design students to present original pieces in hopes of a $500.00 scholarship and bragging rights of the Viewer’s Choice Student Designer title.
Among many attendees set to make an appearance at this year’s fashion show is Angela Simmons, who made her debut on the hit reality shows Run’s House and Daddy’s Little Girls with her father Rev. Run, the founding member of the iconic hip-hop group Run DMC.
Doors open at 6:00 PM on March 28. The fashion show starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets are available through Eventbrite at www.mevo2015gr.com. All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the production of a MeVo summer children’s fashion show titled “The Moment”.
