‘Open Door’ traces history of sustainability efforts

Did you know that the Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center has a 25,000-square-foot green roof that cools and cleans the air of downtown Grand Rapids? Drought-tolerant sedum plants create insulation for the building, saving energy and enhancing ATC acoustics. The green roof also provides natural herb gardens for the Culinary Arts program.

Learn about GRCC’s long-term commitment to sustainability in Open Door, the newly published 100-year history of GRJC/GRCC. The book can be purchased at Schuler Books, the GRCC Library, or online here.
