Noorthoek Academy students honored

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) — Poetry was part of a special college celebration in Grand Rapids Thursday night.

It’s the end of the school year for special education students at Noorthoek Academy. For 26 years, students with disabilities have been participating in the college experience through that program at Grand Rapids Community College.

… Kurt Sprague, Grand Rapids Community College: Sprague (Byron Center) took first place individually at the Grand Rapids Invitational at Egypt Valley Country Club on April 15 after defeating teammate Zach Bialik in a one-hole, sudden-death playoff with a birdie, as both finished with rounds of 74 after 18 holes. Logan Sochacki (Jenison) tied for sixth place with three others shooting +7.

Student Success Stories: Brandon Sinclair

Congratulations to graduate Brandon Sinclair.  Brandon served as campus activities board president this year and won the 2015 Cedric & Sandy Leadership Award. He plans to transfer to FSU for Business Administration, then own a hops farm and run for public office.
